HOW MANY PEOPLE DOES YOUR SPACE ACCOMMODATE AND WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

Our indoor event hall can hold up 120 guests comfortably inside for events with dancing. Otherwise we can hold one bar and 150 guests indoors. In the warmer months we also fold open our large glass doors so we can expand to our covered porch to accommodate 150 guests for events with dancing. 

We offer the venue and an onsite Events Director for 12 hours day of event. A list of furnishings that come with your package will be offered upon inquiry.

We have a shared parking lot with the private Yacht Club members and boat slip renters. We encourage guests to limit the number of vehicles they bring. All event vendors will be asked to park across the street at our Annex. We have the option of overflow parking next door at the public Ferry Beach Park, which is mostly used during daytime hours into early evening in the summer.

CAN YOU CREATE A SMALL, INTIMATE SETTING AT YOUR VENUE?

Yes! Our event hall can hold up to 120 guests indoors, however, we can change the feel with how tables are arranged and make it feel more intimate. We have had smaller events and love to host rehearsal dinners!  Our covered porch is another option, which faces Lake Charlevoix and offers a more relaxed setting.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE A TOUR?

Please call 231.437.3474 or email charie@cyc-events.com to schedule an onsite or virtual tour. Complimentary tours are by appointment only and last 30 minutes.

DO I HAVE TO BE A YACHT CLUB MEMBER TO RENT THE SPACE?

Our main floor is dedicated space for the public to rent for events. Our building was designed to house our private yacht club upstairs for members only. Yacht club members may qualify for a discount.

WHAT IS YOUR FOOD & BEVERAGE POLICY?

The client is responsible for hiring licensed and insured bartending and catering services (must be pre-approved by CYC Events). We offer a prep kitchen with a commercial dishwasher. We do not have a full-service kitchen that offers food or beverage.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO RESERVE MY DATE?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold the date. The remaining balance is due four months prior to your event.

DO YOU OFFER A SOLUTION IF THE PANDEMIC DOES NOT ALLOW US TO HAVE OUR EVENT? WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON PANDEMIC RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED BY THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT?

Yes we offer a provision in our contract. We will offer you an alternate date to have your event. The deposit is non-refundable.
We will follow the Health Department of Northwest Michigan's requirements. If they choose to restrict the size of gatherings or require facemasks, etc. we will have to enforce it and can offer an alternate date.  Social distancing is requested.

DO YOU HAVE A PREFERRED VENDORS LIST?

Yes, we offer a list upon inquiry. They are preferred but not required. If a vendor wishes to be on our list, they can email charie@cyc-events.com and inquire.

WHEN DOES THE EVENT VENUE CLOSE?

11pm
Event rentals are generally 11am-11pm. Other rental times may apply depending on the event type. We have a local noise ordinance that requires that all noise cease by 11pm.

ARE THERE OTHER SPACES THAT CAN BE RENTED?

We can help coordinate rentals of CYC Annex (up to 160 guests), prior home Charlevoix Yacht Club and our private yacht club Topside (up to 90 guests). Topside is only available for rental to CYC Members of 2+ years. Email charie@cyc-events.com or call 231.437.3474 to obtain rates.

IS THE VENUE NEAR GUEST HOTELS, AND CAN YOU RECOMMEND ANY?

Yes we have a few hotels in town. Our area is known for vacation home and condo rentals. Nearby in Petoskey there are several hotels. We offer our preferred vendor list upon request.

WHAT KINDS OF AESTHETIC FEATURES DO YOU HAVE?

We are on the shores of breathtaking Lake Charlevoix. We neighbor a couple marinas. Our stunning new building is a multi-unit complex. There is a private boaters lounge (with its own private entrance) and our private yacht club upstairs. We offer a large expansive covered porch and a large side lawn to spread out.  We are also ADA compliant and offer a one level venue for easier access.
