"We hosted a New Year's Eve gala fundraiser at the Charlevoix Yacht Club in 2025, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! Our event included a plated dinner service for 150 guests, a 6-piece live band, full dance floor, and a silent auction - and the space handled it beautifully. The waterfront setting on Lake Charlevoix created a stunning winter backdrop, and the ballroom transitioned seamlessly from an elegant dinner atmosphere to a lively celebration as the evening progressed. Janna & the CYE team are the best! They are professional, responsive, and incredibly supportive throughout the planning process. Coordinating a large-scale, high-energy event requires flexibility and attention to detail, and they delivered on both. Their calm, organized approach made the entire experience feel manageable and enjoyable. "If I could give CYC 10 stars, I would. First, the venue is stunning. We feel in love with its massive deck, the series of windows and accordion doors to give and indoor/outdoor feel and its location directly in the water. We continue to receive so many compliments from our guests on the venue. It made our weekend memorable for our guests. As if the venue's appearance wasn't enough, the service was the best I have seen in the wedding industry. Janna was incredibly responsive to every large and small question I had with wedding planning. She and her team were all about us creating the wedding we envisioned and allow us to bring all of our ideas to life. They thought of every detail from providing ample set up time to even getting toys for our ring bearers and flower girls. We could not have been more pleased with our wedding planning process and wedding weekend, and it has much to do with the CYC team. "We couldn't have imagined a more perfect wedding venue than the Charlevoix Yacht Club. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The picturesque windows and stunning views were truly the highlight of the space, which is why we kept our decor subtle - and it turned out beautifully. Every guest has commented on how gorgeous the venue was. We especially loved having cocktail hour on the spacious porch - it was the perfect spot for guests to mingle and soak in the scenery. Janna was incredible to work with. She met with us a couple of times before the wedding, made the planning process so smooth, and even saved us from a few slip-ups on the day of. "Everything about the venue was perfect. The view, the setup, the space for movement, the heaters on the patio. The space allowed for such a great flow of decor set up along with allowing for guests to move around freely. Seating and tables were perfect. This was the best place ever. I would not change a thing.
​Additionally, the Event Director was the best part of the Venue. This was my first wedding that we put on. We chose to do this without a wedding planner. She was a great help, with the best ideas. She met with us and allowed us into the venue to get ideas of how we were going to set things up. She gave us great suggestions. She stayed during the event to help. We never felt alone or without direction. Charie kept us on task and moving forward until the big day and afterwards. I cannot say enough about this venue.
